Privacy Policy
Your family’s growth history belongs to your family. Here is exactly what GrowTall stores, collects and shares — and what it never does.
GrowTall is private by design: profiles, measurements, habit logs and notes are stored locally on your Android device. There are no ads, health data is never sold, and the only analytics are coarse, anonymous reliability events you can switch off anytime.
1. The short version
GrowTall is built around a simple idea: your growth history is yours. Everything you enter — profiles, measurements, habit logs and notes — is stored in a local database on your device. GrowTall does not show ads, does not sell health information and does not build advertising profiles from your growth data.
2. What we store on your device
The app stores the following locally on your Android device:
- Family profiles — name, date of birth, sex and preferred units
- Measurements — height and weight entries with dates and optional time-of-day tags
- Habit logs — sleep, activity, nutrition, water and posture entries
- Notes and settings — including your analytics preference
This data is used only to power the features you see in the app. It is not uploaded to GrowTall servers, and it is not used to personalize content or ads from us or anyone else.
3. What we collect
GrowTall uses optional, anonymous analytics covering coarse reliability events only — for example, that a growth chart rendered successfully or that a measurement was recorded. These events contain no names, no dates of birth and none of your entered values. They help us keep the app stable and honest about how it behaves.
Entered heights, weights, notes and habit values are never sent to analytics services.
You can switch analytics off at any time: Family → Privacy & Local Data. No data is sent from that point on.
4. What we never do
- No ads. The free app is the whole experience — there is no advertising now or planned.
- No health-data selling. Growth records are never a product.
- No advertising profiles. We do not build or share profiles about you or your children for marketing.
- No surprise sharing. Your data is only shared when you explicitly choose to share a summary or report.
5. Third-party services
GrowTall uses limited third-party infrastructure for app reliability, app integrity and Google Play subscription functionality. Google Play processes subscription payments, trials, cancellations and refunds under Google’s own terms. These services do not receive your entered growth data.
6. Android device backup
When Android system backup is enabled on your device, your local database may be included in device backups handled by Android. That means restoring your device — or moving to a new one — can bring your records back with it. You can disable backup at any time from your device’s backup settings. GrowTall does not operate this backup service; it is part of the Android system.
7. Children and family profiles
GrowTall may be used by parents and guardians to track their children’s growth. Children’s profiles are created and managed by the device owner, and the same local-first rules apply: nothing leaves your device unless you choose to share a summary or report. You are responsible for the data you enter on behalf of a child and for how you share it.
8. This website
The growtall.fitness website is a static site. It does not set advertising cookies and does not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts. The only server-side logs are the standard, minimal access logs that hosting providers keep for security and reliability.
9. Deletion
Because your data lives on your device, you control it directly. Deleting a profile removes that profile’s records from the app’s local database. Uninstalling the app removes the local database, subject to Android system backup if it is enabled. If you later restore from a device backup, your records may return — clear them from your device if you do not want them restored.
10. Security
Data that stays on your device is protected by your device’s own security — screen lock, encryption and the sandboxing provided by Android. We treat data minimization as a security measure: the less we hold, the less there is to protect.

12. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and note the date. Because GrowTall is designed around local-first storage, the substance of this policy should rarely need to change. Continued use of the app or website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
